Hi everybody
I'm researching an African proverb. The only thing I have is the Dutch translation and if I translate it into English it sounds like this:
"The hand of the receiver is always lower than the hand of the donator"
This is a litterary translation so it could be something completely different in English.
I would be very happy if anybody could tell me where the proverb comes from.
Thank you all.
Silvie
