Congratulations to our website team for testing and upgrading our Message Board. I have one example that I hope our Moderator will later transfer to the "African Proverbs in Everyday" Life Forum. For the past nine months in Kenya we have frequently used the worldwide proverb "blood is thicker than water" to describe the tribalism and negative ethnicity during our post election crisis. This proverb has been rewritten to say: "The blood of tribalism is thicker than the water of baptism." To show the many interpretations and meanings of this proverb the sub-headline in the article in the 16 August, 2008 "New York Post" (USA) on Olympic swimming gold medalist Michael Phelps' strained and cool relationship with his estranged father states: "Swimmer's blood not thicker than water."
