Basically a member of the community according to most of our cultures is expected to act from the bottom of his/her heart for the good of the community. He or she cannot keep it to himself. This not gossiping to contribute to the good of the community. Therefore, if such member learns of something new, great and feels it is good for the community, that individual is encouraged to share it with members of his community.
Since we passed on everything verberly, they use the verb to converse or talk about it with others or share it.
