1. Abobonua kee gbi ni enye baa gbo le ebaa kpe te mli ni efule.
English (lit). The woodpecker says when its mother dies it would burrow into
a rock to bury her.

Meaning; Bragging about things one cannot do brings disgrace or shame.

2 Abui ni he edor le shaa kpaa.
English (lit). A hot needle scotches threads.

Meaning: Even when one is justifiably angry, there’s wisdom in
being patient and exercising self control so as not to cause
harm or act unwisely.
